How does it work?

Proximus enables Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams, allowing you to make and receive calls to and from fixed and mobile numbers in Teams. This is done by linking the Proximus SIP Trunk to the Microsoft Phone System. Certified Session Border Controllers are installed in the Proximus Datacenter to make the connection to the Microsoft cloud.

Using direct routing from Microsoft

Direct routing allows customers to connect their telecom voice lines directly to Microsoft 365 so that people can place and receive calls. Customers can work with their local telecom provider to connect their voice lines to Microsoft 365 and Phone System via a certified Session Border Controller (SBC). This is available in every country where we license Teams and Telephone System. Direct routing is part of the Teams-compatible Telephone System.

A Call Subscription offers people a primary telephone number and lets them make and receive telephone calls. You can choose from different sizes, depending on how many minutes you need.
